Undiscovered App #20: Inclusion - Making Math Fun

Do you like math? If you don't, today's Undiscovered App from Purple Pig just might make you change your mind. You'd never be able to guess what Inclusion does just by looking at the app icon or the name, however (which, from an app store optimization perspective, has probably hurt downloads) so thankfully, we here at Undiscovered App stumbled across it, loved it, and lived to tell you all about it.

Inclusion is a simple addition and subtraction game. You're given a number (your goal), and then you're provided a 4 x 4 grid full of numbers that you're supposed to combine, either by adding or subtracting, to reach a total equal to your goal number. There's a timer you're working against to keep the heat on, plus there's a leader board via Game Center so you can see how well your math skills stack up against people from all over the world. There are also four difficulty levels to keep things interesting as your skill level progresses.

The interface is simplistic yet elegantly done, and after a few rounds you'll find yourself wanting to give it just one more try. Do it enough times, and you'll forget you're actually having a lot of fun doing math, all while sharpening your mental skills too.

I loved Inclusion, and I highly recommend this for a download. It's currently free, and it has an average rating of 4.5 stars from 131 reviews.
